Job description

Premier Analytical Services is an award winning Food Testing Laboratory, part of the Premier Food Group Ltd. Our laboratories are at the forefront of scientific innovation within the food industry, and as well as holding UKAS accreditations, are recognised as a UK Centre of Expertise.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Analytical Chemist to join our team specialising in Mycotoxins.

The role will be working alongside a number of analysts within this group, conducting sample preparation and product analysis. The role may also include result interpretation and reporting, as well as guiding testing regimes in line with risk assessments and best practice.

The ideal candidate will be –
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in Chemistry or a related subject
  • Experienced working within a laboratory, ideally UKAS (ISO 17025) accredited, with excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledgeable with regards to techniques including HPLC as well as sample preparation
  • Knowledge of GC/MS or LC/MSMS (in addition to HPLC) would be advantageous but not essential
