Job description

Brand Finance Analyst
Based in St Albans
We're delighted to offer the opportunity for an experienced Finance professional to join our team at our Head Office in St Albans and partner internal customers in the Cake Marketing team, providing financial support, analysis and insight to drive sound business decisions.  You will also provide support to the Brand Finance Manager with routine reporting and analysis, management of Consumer Marketing investment, budgeting and forecasting across various categories.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities…..
  • Take financial responsibility for the brands within the Cake Category.
  • Produce monthly performance reports, variance analysis and month end commentary.
  • Support the delivery of the brand annual performance targets.
  • Provide support to the Brand Managers on Innovation profitability both pre and post launch.
  • Working closely with the Brand team, ensure the reporting and forecasting of Consumer Marketing investment is both accurate and robust.
  • Actively participate in strategic projects involving business modelling and ‘what if’ scenarios.
  • Work closely with business partners and respond to ad-hoc queries providing accurate financial information to drive insight.
Experience and qualifications needed……
  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA
  • Graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to work as part of a matrix environment.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent PC skills – high level of competence in spreadsheet applications
  • Eagerness to learn and develop
  • Performance driven & keen to exceed expectations
  • Team player
  • Good organisation and communication skills.
  • Manage expectations and assure the highest levels of satisfaction
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and offer relevant recommendations.
  • Able to prioritise in high pressured and changing environment
