Job description

In this highly commercial role, you will be running selected key customer accounts as part of the Premier Foods Cake Private Label portfolio. 
Our Customer Brand business is a key growth category and you can expect to be working closely with your customers and internal stakeholders to further develop it and continue to drive it beyond its current turnover level of circa £55m.
Key roles and responsibilities….. 
  • Owning creating, selling in and implementing product plans for the cake business area
  • P&L responsibility for category
  • Development of relationship with customer product developers using category insight to drive business forward
  • Presenting plans to retailers, working closely with sales, factory and category team to ensure business alignment
  • Management of cake AYR portfolio with product developer and technical contacts in multiple retailers
  • Management of product portfolio ensuring that product range is competitive on cost  and v competitive set
  • Management of product tenders working with sales, procurement, factory, customer, TAMS and finance team.
  • Driving appropriate product development projects using existing factory capabilities
  • Identification and running of cost reduction projects for the portfolio
  • Day to day management of portfolio and response to adhoc retailer and business requests
  • Overseeing of project implementation on pack change and product developments with help of change mgt team
  • Identification and implementation of tactical opportunities for the OL portfolio and product retenders
  • Work with TAMs to ensure that retailer and legal changes are progressed 
Experience and qualifications needed…… 
  • Degree Level Qualifications, ideally in business related subject
  • Knowledge of UK fmcg retailing with retailer brand knowledge preferred.
  • FMCG background
  • Project management – leading projects
  • Category or brand management 
  • Cross functional working
  • Proven negotiation and Influencing Skills
