Job description

Management Accountant
Based in Carlton, Barnsley

Our Carlton site in Barnsley is the home of Mr Kipling. The finance team based there are keen to hire an experienced Management Accountant to provide dedicated financial resource to support and challenge the manufacturing operation at a site level.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Completion of weekly / monthly reporting cycle (FPR, forecasts, KPI’s, etc)
  • Ensure system integrity working closely with SAP admin
  • Support the Finance Manager in external and internal audits
  • Monitor production side stock levels and flag aged stock
  • Check and approve product costings
  • Reporting timely information to site teams both financial and non-financial
  • Report and track key projects highlighting any risk to deliverables
  • Work with Site Finance Manager on the site operations budget
  • Work with Site Finance Manager to ensure the site forecast process is accurate, robust and timely
  • Complete forecasts and budgets in conjunction with site management teams and budget holders to company standard
  • Labour forecasting (recovery simulation vs. actual), and yield analysis
  • Review Site product standards in line with Plant variances
Minimum requirements:
  • Part Qualified or Qualified with 2+ years PQE experience
  • High level analytical skills                                    
  • Advanced Excel / Word / PowerPoint
  • Ability to work alone and as a team
  • Work calmly under pressure and achieve deadlines
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Experience of SAP
