We believe that when our colleagues feel happy and valued they perform better. And ensuring all our people are listened to, and know our purpose and goals, is a big part of that. It helps connect us all together, and it's essential for us to achieve our ambitious goals for our business.
We regularly ask colleagues for feedback about how we are doing as a business. This can be informally, through site or office based forums, or more formally, through our Colleague Engagement survey.
We run this survey on a regular basis and every colleague in our company has the opportunity to give their views on a range of topics. The results are always shared with our people, and we put plans in place to work on areas that need improvement.
Many of the changes made in our business in the past 18 months are a direct result of colleague feedback.
We are also passionate about sharing news and information. At all our sites and offices, communication is a focus for our leaders, who ensure that, face to face or by using our Google technology, their teams are kept up to speed with what's happening locally and across the business.
We have a number of communications channels and to bind our efforts together, we introduced our What’s cooking? branding to emphasise how food is the centre of everything we do.
Powered by our Google+ social media news feeds, shares the latest news and information on our business. The intranet is responsive for mobile devices so colleagues can access it wherever they are.
Sharing features, our CEO’s blog, news on our charity and sustainability efforts, and colleague competitions, it's shared digitally with connected colleagues and printed for each one of our sites. Here's issues which you're welcome to download and read.
