Industry hits key targets as part of commitment to reduce food & packaging waste

More than 50 signatories, including Premier Foods, took part in WRAP’s Courtauld Commitment 3 (CC3) to help deliver against three ambitious targets for the period between 2012 and 2015. 1) To reduce food and packaging waste by 3% in manufacturing and retail; 2) To improve packaging design and recyclability in the grocery supply chain without increasing the carbon impact; and 3) To reduce household food and drink waste by 5%.

Our Kipling mince pies play starring role in BBC’s Inside the Christmas Factory

It’s all hands on deck in the run up to Christmas in our Mr Kipling bakery in Carlton, the world’s largest mince pie factory. The bakery makes over 43,000 mince pies every minute, 2.3 million every 24 hours, and a total of around 180 million for the Christmas season, a big slice of the more than 216 million mince pies we made this year.
