Meet our People
Lizzie Leeson
I joined Premier Foods in 2016 on the finance graduate scheme so experienced various roles within finance including Commercial, Procurement and Group Finance. I eventually settled in the Brand Finance team and have been here ever since.
I have now worked my way up to a Brand Finance Controller and business partner for the Sweet Treats Marketing team on all things financial, from forecasting to new product development.
Premier Foods has been great in giving me new opportunities and roles to grow into as I develop throughout my career. I feel that what I do in my role matters for decision making and I especially like seeing a product on the shelves after I've been working on it. Finally, the people at Premier are great; they are a really supportive bunch!

I joined the Premier Analytical Service team in 2019 and working here has given me a sense of value that I have not felt at previous roles. The senior team seem very interested in ensuring there is employee satisfaction, as well as providing support. There has been emphasis put on training, as well as developing me to have the skills I need to excel and deliver high standards.
Overall, my time here has been frantic peaks, delightful troughs, challenging me in ways I hadn’t expected. I look forward to more experiences with Premier Foods.

I'm responsible for the whole employee lifecycle, from issuing employment contracts to our new starters and giving them the best possible experience of joining a new business, to facilitating all the internal changes, as well as the offboarding process. I also deal with all HR admin queries from our colleagues, manage things like maternity and paternity leave, sicknesses, organisational structure changes, reporting and much more. I'm also a myHR super user and am always happy to help colleagues or line managers with any system issues.
Being part of how well we are doing as a business makes me feel very proud of our brands and I look forward to seeing how the business continues to grow.

I joined Premier Foods in November 2023 in the Corporate Affairs & ESG team. I am responsible for delivering the community programme, which is an integral part of our Enriching Life Plan and includes both our volunteering programme and working with our charity partner FareShare, to support those facing food insecurity. I also bring external ESG insights into the business, developing colleague capabilities and understanding of ESG as well as raising the profile of Premier Foods' work in this space externally.
Premier Foods is a great place to work. I'm fortunate that my role allows me to work with colleagues across the business, from our factories to our customer teams to those working in procurement. There is always a lot to learn, and I enjoy the variety of work that I'm involved in. All colleagues have been very supportive and helped me settle in fast.

I joined Premier Foods in 2015 as Group Health & Safety Manager and was promoted to Group Health, Safety & Environmental Manager in 2021. My role can involve procedure and policy developments, training, auditing, and liaison with external bodies. Food manufacturing is so diverse that you never know what the next day holds and that is what I enjoy about working for Premier Foods.
Safety is always a key priority on all sites and the safety culture continues to improve. This could not happen without the strong support from the teams on all sites. This is what has helped us achieve one of the best UK safety records in the food manufacturing industry.

I'm responsible for acting as the bridge between IT and the commercial functions regarding technology development, solution discovery, project management and relationship management. Day to day I act as the primary IT point of contact to business leadership and managers in these areas. I also manage the delivery of IT projects and any enhancement or change to Premier Foods IT systems in these areas.
From my first day I was given a lot of responsibility for someone so early in their career. Having these opportunities and being allowed to run with them has given me invaluable experience and exposure across the business. I believe Premier Foods is a great place to develop your career. I have particularly felt that being on the graduate scheme helped drive my progression and opportunities within the Company.

I joined Premier Foods as Head of Legal in 2019. I manage the day-to-day running of the legal team and deal with a wide range of issues that come across the legal team's desks. This includes advising on commercial contracts, intellectual property and data protection issues, health and safety matters, consumer law, marketing, and transactional work both in the UK and internationally. I also manage the relationships with our external law firms.
What I enjoy about Premier Foods is the fast pace and variety of the work, which means that no two days are ever the same and there is never a dull moment!

I joined Premier Foods as a Brand Director in 2018 and I’m responsible for the brand plans and business performance of the categories I look after. I have a team spanning Innovation and Brand Management, and we work closely with a number of commercial and technical stakeholders across the business. I have a key role in setting the vision for success on my categories and defining the focuses to help us achieve that vision. The teams I work with are all very talented, ambitious, and eager to raise the bar.
I'm continually learning new skills and gaining new knowledge. I really enjoy what each day brings and we have adapted really well as a business to flexible working arrangements.

I started working at Premier Foods as an operator in 2006 and I am now the Factory General Manager at our Lifton site after several promotions. I believe Premier Foods’ desire to recognise and develop talent from within the business played a big part in this.
I am responsible for leading a dedicated and passionate team of people, producing Ambrosia, Bird’s and Angel Delight. I ensure we are compliant in safety, quality, environment and ethical issues and work with teams on improvements and training plans.
Premier Foods is a company with a set of values it genuinely believes in and works hard to cascade. I believe it is a good company with an exciting future and is small enough for the level of personal contribution to be recognised and appreciated.

I joined Premier Foods in 2002 as a procurement graduate and was enrolled on to the Young Managers development programme which, like our graduate scheme, combines learning with on-the-job experience. As a Head of Procurement, I lead a great high performing team, right from new graduates to experienced Heads of Category.
Sustainability has rightly taken an increasingly prominent role over the last few years, and I support our Enriching Life Plan, which includes a set of ambitious targets centred around our people, planet and products.
It sounds a cliché but the culture and values in Premier Foods lend themselves to being able to work with lots of nice people. I am fortunate to be a part of the senior leadership team, whilst also benefiting from flexible working, resulting in a positive work life balance.

I joined Premier Foods in 2013 as a Category Manager and since then, I have been given the opportunity and support to progress through several category management roles.
I thoroughly enjoy my job and leading my team, which involves providing strategic direction by collaborating with various functions across marketing, commercial sales, and insights to ensure we align with consumer, shopper, and market trends. My key responsibility is to ensure we lead the category and shopper agenda with our customers to deliver sustainable partnerships and long-term growth.
